The 2017 CMT Artists of the Year have been announced and include Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean, Florida Georgia Line, Chris Stapleton and Keith Urban. These artists will be honored during the eighth annual CMT Artists of the Year special, airing live from Nashville's Schermerhorn Symphony Center on October 18 at 8 PM ET. The night will also feature live performances and tributes from several other artists, who will be revealed at a later date. Additional awards and special guests will also be announced soon.
In addition to paying tribute to the night's honorees, the 90-minute special will also highlight the ongoing rescue and recovery efforts following Hurricane Harvey. Throughout the broadcast, some of country's biggest stars will encourage fans to continue supporting the cause with their donations. More information on the special’s charitable initiative will be revealed soon.
