While Dierks Bentley has been honing his skills in the sky for several years as a licensed pilot, he'll soon be soaring in a different kind of aviation role. According to The Tennessean, Nashville's Mayor Megan Barry has nominated the "Drunk on a Plane" singer to fill a vacancy on Nashville Airport Authority’s board of directors, which oversees the city's international airport. The Metro Council will vote on Bentley's appointment next month.
