Kid Rock for Senate?

Kid Rock

Kid Rock confirmed rumors that the the Kid Rock for Senate website is his, and it’s real — but he left the slightest crack in the door to escape conversation about an actual run for U.S. Senate in 2018.

If Rock (real name Robert James Ritchie Jr.) was planning a run, most believe he’d do so on the Republican ticket, opposing incumbent Debbie Stabenow. The Michigan Senator acknowledged the rumor on Wednesday, saying on Twitter, “I know we both share a love of music. I concede he’s better at playing guitar and I’ll keep doing what I do best: fighting for Michigan.”

The Kid Rock for Senate website was the first hint that Rock s entering politics, but most dismissed it as a stunt until the “All Summer Long” singer took to Twitter to say it’s real. He stopped short of confirming a run for senator. Reuters reports that two of Kid Rock’s representatives would only point them back to his statements on social media.
