Tax Season will be even more frustrating this year, if that's even possible

This year’s tax filing season will begin on Jan. 24, 17 days earlier than last year, the Internal Revenue Service announced Monday. And it will end later as well...April 18th is the deadline for filing tax returns or requesting or an extension. That gives taxpayers until October 17th to file their returns for 2021.

That's not the frustrating part of it. This is. Your refund will most likely be delayed this year. That's because the IRS has faced more issues because of budget cuts and more workload because of the federal stimulus checks from the last two years.

The IRS is dealing with a 25% decrease in staff size.

And the IRS ended 2021 with more than 25 million individual and business tax returns that hadn’t been processed yet.

If you aren't a big fan of the're not alone. Kayla feels your pain.
