Lauren Alaina joined forces with Lainey Wilson for an electrifying collaboration as she dives into her Unlocked era. Alaina collaborated with the Bell Bottom Country star on “Thicc As Thieves,” one of six new tracks on the American Idol alum’s EP that dropped on Friday morning (June 9).

“We’re thicker than our accents, thicker than our hair/ Thicker than the Georgia and Louisiana air/ Thicker than molasses from the patches to the seams/ Stealing hearts is in our jeans/ Us southern girls, We’re thicc as thieves, We’re thicc as thieves/ We’re thicc as thieves, We’re thicc as thieves”

Alaina’s powerful anthem with Wilson joins two previously-released tracks from the project, “A Walk In The Bar” and “Hangovers,” in addition to “Don’t Judge A Woman,” “Smaller The Town” and “Like Her.” The powerhouse singer-songwriter and author previously promised that her fans would recognize the “same old me” in her new music, though her heart is “unlocked” in a way like never before.

“I want you to know me. I have a million different nicknames. I’ve worn a lot of different hats, been a lot of things to a lot of people,” Alaina said when she announced the EP’s release earlier this month. “Truth is, I’ve always just been Lauren. The girl that grew up in a tiny house in Rossville, Georgia, 28 years ago. The person my big brother calls ‘sister,’ even today. The aunt my nieces and nephews call ‘Lala’ when I run to scoop them up off their front porch in my hometown. The girl you met 13 years ago on a TV show, and the woman you’re seeing today. A singer, songwriter, author, actress, dancer, sister, fiancée, daughter, friend. I want you to know me. And the truth is, it took me a long time to get to know me, too. Let’s start where we always have before. My name is Lauren, and my new EP, Unlocked, comes out next week.”
