TIME magazine has named Carrie Underwood to the TIME 100, its annual list of the 100 most influential people in the world. The TIME 100 recognizes the activism, innovation and achievement of the world's most influential individuals who are using their ideas, visions and actions to transform the world. The list features pairings of the 100 most influential people and the guest contributors the magazine selects to write about them. Carrie's longtime friend Brad Paisley serves as the guest writer for her profile in this year's issue. Brad says, "Not only has she earned her place (in country music), she's raised the bar: a prolific songwriter, a trend-setter, and an Opry member. But it's her decency as a person that is so impressive." The full list and related tributes appear in the May 5 issue of TIME, which is available on newsstands and tablets today.
Justin Moore and his wife Kate will welcome their third child this summer, and Moore reveals that the pregnancy hasn't necessarily been smooth sailing for Kate. Justin tells Taste of Country, "She gets pretty sick and always has. She has rough pregnancies, I feel bad for her. She's hanging in there. She's pretty tough but she's had a rough go of it." The pregnancy may be rough on his wife, but Justin says the baby is perfectly healthy. The couple is already the proud parents of two daughters, and the girls are still a little indecisive on if they want a little brother or little sister. "They wanted a brother and now they want a sister because…my wife and I were talking like 'We gotta talk them into if it's a girl because they are adamant about wanting a boy.' Now she's went too far."
There have been rumors floating around that Gwen Stefani will join NBC's The Voice as one of the coaches next season. While NBC hasn't officially confirmed if the No Doubt lead singer will be a part of the show for its seventh season, Blake Shelton has weighed in on the possibility of having Gwen as a rival coach. Shelton told Entertainment Weekly, "I know some of (No Doubt's) music — I'm not too familiar, but I look forward to beating anybody on this show, honestly!" Blake's fellow coach Adam Levine also opened up to EW about Stefani. Levine said, "I'm a huge fan — she's a wonderful human being, and I love her to pieces. She's so talented. She's just great."
