Joan Rivers has been moved out of the ICU at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York.
“My mother has been moved out of intensive care and into a private room where she is being kept comfortable,” her daughter Melissa said in a statement on Wednesday. “Thank you for your continued support.”
Whether the move is a sign of improvement remains to be seen.
The 81-year-old comedy icon has been hospitalized since going into cardiac arrest last week during a minor medical procedure.
There have been conflicting reports about her condition as doctors slowly bring her out of a medically induced coma and hope Rivers improves.
